9 rings after festival is over? - Guild Wars Forums

Here's a silly hypothetical question:

I know that Nine Rings is only available during the festival, but what if I never leave the nine rings area, and never exit Guild Wars? Can I keep playing it until my money is gone, even if the festival has ended?

Na, it just don't work. Have tried it. As I remember you eventually just get kicked out of the nine rings area. Unless of course they have mercy on us and forget this time round

best thing you can do is log out of your account and log back in a few seconds later before you leave your char AFK. This will set the timer back to 10 hours or so.

No, he's asking if he never exits the game and never leaves the boardwalk, will the game still keep him there even after the festival has ended.

Honestly not sure, if you don't exit with the new build that will remove the NPCs, then I imagine you could theoretically stay in the boardwalk. I do believe the game is more likely to kick you out if a new build has become available.

Also, even with the NPCs still in the game, Anet can end their dialogue and the Nine Rings game will stop running. So you could be standing there quite pointlessly.

The NPC's Vanish. I came up with this plan last year and about 5 mins after the event ended I was still in the area as the New Build message came up and I was like HAHA! Keep on farming the lucky Points! Then all the NPC's just went poof and were gone.

Doesn't work =(

Yeah the NPC's go and the game stops even though you are still on the rings. Sucks lol
